23 Floors of Excellence

When Hotel Okura Tokyo opened in 1962, the goal was to become the best hotel in the world. With 25 hotels worldwide, mainly in homeland Japan, Okura’s focus was and is to offer the best possible accommodations, cuisine and service to its guests. Hotel Okura Amsterdam is located in the multi-cultural De Pijp district, home to the Heineken brewery, Albert Cuyp Market and Sarphatipark, a 6 minute tram ride (20 minutes by foot) from the Museumplein, where the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and Concertgebouw are situated.

With its 23 floors and 300 rooms, ranging from 28sqm (300sqft) Superior Rooms to luxury (Junior) Suites, Hotel Okura Amsterdam is hard to overlook. The champagne and cocktail bar on the top floor offers splendid views of Amsterdam, as does French restaurant Ciel Blue, which holds two Michelin stars. More fine dining can be done in Yamazato, a one Michelin star restaurant dedicated to ‘authentic Japanese kaiseki cuisine,’ teppanyaki restaurant Sazanka and breakfast brasserie Le Camelia. Furthermore, Hotel Okura Amsterdam offers Taste of Okura, a cooking studio to practice your gastronomic skills. Want to exercise during your stay in Amsterdam? Use the gym in Nagomi Spa & Health or swim some laps in the indoor swimming pool.
